Welcome one and all to the Knights of the Roundtable. I donno what I did with the picture, but I'll try and find it again. As most know, I switched jobs and now have very little free time in my life, but I missed this crack so I've come back, and will give it a go to see if I can indeed sustain the activity.
Soooo it has been a while, though all but CC are now in the baseball league on the roundtable. Is there anything in your life that is new and you wanna share with me and the rabid readers, that I might have missed while I was away from the new league of bbs7?
Jayda - You haven’t missed much. Habes won 2 ships. Royal and game are still some of the worst GMs. Braz still trying to trade everyday. Play still mad about everything Spencer does. Lumley still giving away lottos.
Braz - not too much man… works been picking up but that’s fine because it’s starting to feel like normal life. Traveling a bit more. At airport now.
CC - Aside from bbs, nah nothing new in life. But in bbs life, yes. We won a ship.
stooolfan - nah I feel like we stay in constant communication with baseball. I made a cool team here. Kemp is clearly the mvp.
Lets dive into the most pressing questions for me to get up to speed, whats a significant change to BBS7 over BBS2020?
Jayda - the ratings are not as inflated. The draft classes are nerfed and players take a couple seasons to make a big impact. The older guys are surviving TCs.
Braz - the ratings are coming in much lower with prospects but I’m pretty sure inflation was a major driver for the restart.
CC - The low ratings. Spence wanted to prevent inflation in this version and it’s been true from day 1. Just look around and players aren’t as unstoppable like in bbs2020. Imo, it’s way more balanced and fair game here.
stooolfan - ratings are lower, there are no stupid over power players. You have to build a deep team to win. I’m having fun with my kings team.
Is there anything else you can think of that I need to know? If not what was your fav vacation recently?
Jayda - There aren’t many bigs who block a lot of shots. They are rare so far, i know you like to get them and sit on em. That would be a great idea this time around.
Braz - what a pivot question lol. Rewards need to be spent same season and I’d read up on position rules.. there was a rule and it just changes for SG.
CC - Favorite vacation recently was visiting LA three weeks ago. Just visiting Hollywood and checking out the city. Haven’t been there in years so thought I’d get away from the bay for awhile.
stooolfan - I went to Mexico with the wife. Was a blast. Can’t wait to go again. We are taking the kids to Disney land in November.
In BBS2020 the East was the meatgrinder, is it the same here where the West or East has the same claim to fame? And if so which one?
Jayda - ehhh i think it’s pretty even right now. Not even sure the ring count right now. I think Celtics got 1 and then the Mavs got 2. Who won last season?
Braz - so far the west has held most of the titles I think out of the original draft the East had a few good teams but also 2 of the major original tankers. I think it’s less of an issue though for sure.
CC - It seems like the west continues to be more dominant here. 4/5 of the last champs came from the west and I think we will see the next champ coming out of the west again this season.
stooolfan - west is the best. So when you join back can you go to the east??
Towards the end of bbs2020 spence started to nerf rebounding, and in my quick casual glance around it looks like that is still the case, am I correct, and if I am, what is your secret sauce to combat it?
Jayda - I drafted Jason Kidd so he is probably the best rebounding guard in the league. That helps my team. I also made it an emphasis to acquire players who are at least average at every position.
Braz - I just traded for the old guys who are over powers. I also have battie who’s a good rebounder but he lacks stocks. Prob get a few of those guys
CC -Yes, I believe that is part of preventing inflation here to piggy back from your earlier question about significant changes. How to combat is trying to build a team that can actually rebound otherwise you’ll be at a major disadvantage.

Is skillz here? If no, why not? But really on that page, who are the wheelers and dealers here? Who do you love trading with the most?
Jayda - Skillz is not here idk why. Habes, and braz probably have the most trades with Mike close behind. I honestly don’t like trading here. Everybody overvalues their guys but tries to sell your guys short.
Braz - no we miss him. He didn’t come back as expected which is sad. I’ve traded a lot. With most GMs. Prob sargo or Greeme the most
CC - 6th season and I’m surprised no signs of skillz. I thought he’d join by now especially saying he would return if there was a restart. Hopefully he’s doing okay. He must have moved on from the sim life and busy with other new things. I would consider myself a wheeler and deeler and was actually called skillz jr by lums. I love trading with everyone if the right deal comes along.
stooolfan - no idea, he should be here though. Would tough the historical gm rankings spreadsheet. Maybe you can bring that back.
How is your team this year, and what is your 5 year plan from here?
Jayda - my team has started off slow. Weird because all i did was upgrade my big spots from the last couple of seasons when I have won 50+. I’m sure it’ll balance out sooner or later. 5 year plan, what is this big daddy? Is an old man gonna walk out of the bathroom?
Braz - we are one of the top teams but very old and at the end of our cycle. Going to ride this into the ground and rebuild once Billups can’t carry us.
CC - Defending champs and looking to repeat this season. 5 year plan? Just try to win and if we lose, so be it. We have our picks after this season and whatever happens happens. I’ve mentioned blowing up this team for the 03 draft but after winning a title? I want to win more until my team says stop. Basically gonna let this team behave naturally and decide what direction we should go. But as of today? Just win baby.
stooolfan - team is awesome. Kemp is the mvp, dominate for the next 5 seasons
And lastly, what advice should I give break so that I don’t end up as the GM of the Thunder? If you have none, what is one event you would like to see live and why?
Jayda - he’s doing fine. Tell him to don’t trade his firsts for guys that are on shitty teams putting up decent numbers.
Braz - don’t over estimate your team. He lost a major big man. Shuffle things around the top scorer in the league and get marginally better
CC - Break really believes he is one big piece away from becoming a title contender here. Looking at his team, it seems like he needs more than that. I think upsetting Denver in the first round last season has made him confident but other teams in the west have gotten better as well. What advice to give him? Just share him your experience on how to win in this league and hopefully break finally BREAKS through (pun intended).
stooolfan - trade for the mvp kemp. Tell him to quit acting like he is 5 time champ here and be more receptive to teaching.
