Basically- from what I can gather:
In the pms, there was no stipulation about "before sim 2" for the trade back, but greeme posts it with the "before sim 2" stip. It's still agreed to.
Greeme and HF can't figure out contracts to do the tradeback (HF would go over the HC without having 12 players in the simplest version), but HF says he's working on it.
Greeme tries multiple times to trade back Jay, but it doesn't work out because HF doesn't want to deal the big contract players just in a tradeback.
Spencer doesn't enforce tradebacks, and he REALLY doesn't enforce them if it goes an entire season. we had that happen once in the last version and Spence was like "once the season trade deadline passes, all tradebacks are void anyways". So this had to get done before the deadline.
Now the Mavs got Jay Will as a 3rd party to send to the Heat and all is well.
long story short, it's a mess
