1. Dallas Mavericks - Dwight Howard C 6'10'' 265 19 B D D B- B+ A
I am not sure if this is going to be every GM's consensus overall pick, however I think it should be. Should be the elite big that all GM's covet in this league. Is built in a manner that should be the most valued player in this draft. A good cornerstone for a franchise who will most likely deal him 15 minutes after drafting him.
2. Charlotte Hornets - Andre Iguodala SF 6'6'' 215 21 B C C+ B+ C A
This is the toughest number two pick I have seen in a while because I am not sure here who meshes with Melo well. A laundry list of guys who can go here, all of whom have some fault of some sort. If I am the Hornets I am going BPA and worrying about it later......but I am not sure who BPA is. I am going with Iggy because I think there probably the least amount of flaws with him over some of the other guys. He might be able to play the 2 which would complement Melo well.
3. Washington Wizards - Al Jefferson C 6'10'' 289 20 B- C D C B- A
Is this too high? Are there better players? I am not entirely sure but Al Jefferson looks like maybe the best fit with McDyess and Josh Howard in a balanced offense. At a minimum he looks to be like an offensive powerhouse and if he gets the right camps could be a very strong two way player with any type of potential.
4. Philadelphia 76ers - Josh Smith SF 6'9'' 225 19 B+ C C B C+ A
Josh Smith. Has a lot of great notes, and a lot of shit notes as well. Going to be a really complicated player to camp once you get the +8 to handles out of the way to start. Philly doesn't really have too much else going on right now and Smith is maybe the biggest boom or bust prospect that we have in this years draft so I think you take the chance on him and see what happens.
5. Denver Nuggets - Luol Deng SF 6'9'' 237 19 B- C+ C- B- C+ A
This is actually the pick I am really sold on after Howard. I think based on the notes there is a small chance that some GM's might favor Deng over Iggy. I think Deng is a great complementary piece to Lebron as both of them are built kind of similarly. Might have the potential to be a #3 option or so in a balanced offense at his peak.
6. Utah Jazz (Trade with Atlanta) - Andris Biedrins C 6'11'' 240 18 C D D- C+ B- A
Chip in his contract year trades Walt Williams, Hawks 2006 Pick and the #6 overall pick for Rasheed Wallace to help out his CY year prognosis look a lot better. Lumley, a total wild card in everything takes Andris Biedrins who is the best prospect on the board at this point. Biedrins provides the C of the future for the Jazz who now will try to dump Mashburn for whatever he can find.
7. Golden State Warriors - Devin Harris PG 6'3'' 185 21 C B- B- B- C- A
I think this very well could be Livingston. I think it's one or the two even though there a lot of intriguing options. I'm picking Harris because he's built in the manner I want my PG's to be built more that Livingston is. Harris might have a volume problem that needs to be addressed off the bat but I think if he can get to C A- A- A- C then this pick is a winner.
8. Utah Jazz - Shaun Livingston PG 6'7'' 192 19 B- C B- B C A
Who knows what Lumley will do. I think Livingston is the best player on the board at this point so we will go with him. Total crapshoot. Livingston and Biedrins here we go!
9. Memphis Grizzlies (From Orlando) - Tony Allen SG 6'4'' 213 23 C+ C+ C A- C B
Memphis balks at some of the higher potential scoring wings and goes with the defensive stopper who will provide some great bench depth behind Udoka and Redd.
10. Washington Wizards (From Los Angeles Lakers) - Anderson Varejao C 6'11'' 273 22 C C- C- B B+ B
The only guy here I am really considering outside Varejao is JR Smith at this juncture and I just hate his notes so we will go with someone I really like with Varejao. Varejao could be a very good player on a competitive team right off the bat and I would hope some teams with assets looking to compete would come in and swoop him up if he is still around here.
11. Indiana Pacers - J.R. Smith SG 6'6'' 225 19 B- B C- C C- A
This 100 percent seems like a Royal pick it's great that the BPA falls to him here. Probably would be better off with Varejao though as he goes into his CY. Okafor might get a look as well.
12. Phoenix Suns - Emeka Okafor C 6'10'' 252 22 B- D+ D+ B- B B
Okafor immediately steps in from Day 1 as promising back up big for the Suns. Humprhries might get a look as well.
13. Chicago Bulls - Kris Humphries PF 6'9'' 235 19 C+ C- C C B B
I think there could be about 5 or 6 guys who are here but I like Humphries notes the best.
