Dunno why I typed all that but somewhat cathartic. I hope we made her comfortable somewhat as she was dying. We were in the room with her and kept her clean. Would have been worse alone at the vet probably where she had anxiety about going. Glad I had some Valium from my panic attack two years ago seems like you did everything compassionate for this dog from adoption till the last moment. Good dog dad |

Tuesday evening my wife came back from the gym and showered, had just took them outside around 4 pm and put em in front room. We let them out to eat at 6 and she comes out dragging her back end unable to move her hind legs/stand at all. She had peed on herself as well. We called the emergency line for the vet and he said maybe steroids in the morning. Just keep her comfortable. Well she kept trying to move, she used the bathroom on herself too. I had some Valium I crushed up and gave her and she calmed down and rested. Gave her another one around 11 pm. She kept having very soft poop on herself. We kept her clean and changed towels around her and got her on her side on a soft bed. Around 230 am she started passing blood in her stool and around 330 she started breathing really fast. About an hour later I noticed her agonally breathing and me and wife knelt over and petted her until she stopped moving. Ahh Jeeze so sorry for your loss. That’s so sad. Damn |
