Washington Wizards 43-11
Right now, the Wizards are at the top of the East. They are a very deep team with some really good players. They have some nice young guys like Dwight, Dunleavy and J-Rich. They are being led by Francis who is putting up 27.5 ppg and 2.6 spg. Francis is an extremely good player. J-rich is doing very well also with 24.2 ppg. They have two very nice bigs in Brand and Howard. Howard is still young yet and has room to grow. Brand is putting up an easy double double at 17.4 ppg and 11.4 rpg with 2.3 bpg. Dunleavy and Josh are solid wing players that bring solid scoring. I really like this team. I think they can make it far in this years playoffs.
Indiana Pacers 39-20
Currently the Pacers are second in the East. Like Wizards they have some very nice players. They are being led by Crawford who is putting up 27.6 ppg. Solid work. They then have Paul Peirce and Dwayne Wade who are both putting up more than 20 ppg. Wallace is doing great work as a defense first wing. McDyess is solid with 16.8 ppg and 2.5 bpg. Rogers also has 2.7 bpg. If their is something I’d work on with the Pacers is maybe a better bench for the back court. The front court could also use one more player. Solid team though.
Philly 76ers 43-13
Really like this team. They have some very good players. Ill start with Kidd who is putting up a big 26.4 ppg and 2.7 spg. Very good numbers for Kidd. Then you have Iggy putting up 23.7 ppg. He is only 22 years old so I can see him getting much better. Hedo is looking nice too with 24.1 ppg. Needs to continue working on his defense though. Bosh is putting up a whooping 4.1 bpg. Thats elite numbers. And he is only 20 years old. Wallace and Lorenzen are elite defenders at the front court. I can see this team making it to the conference finals but their are other good teams too. We will see what happens.
Atlanta Hawks 36-21
Currently forth in the standing for the East. Joe Johnson is leading the way for them with 28.7 ppg. Elite scorer. Penny is playing very good too with 24.7 ppg. If the Hawks can get one more 20+ ppg scorer the could be deadly. Sofo is growing and looking like a very good young guy. Terry is coming off the bench but the numbers aren’t looking all that. Bonzi is solid but the numbers for him aswell aren’t all that. Glenn is playing decently off the bench for the Hawks. Hawks are a good team but their are some holes that need fixing. Not sure if i seeing them going past 2nd round.
Boston Celtics 33-19
Celtics were atop the standings until they got hit with the injury bug. They have since gotten back all their players and went 9-1 in the last 10 games. If they stay healthy this team will make the finals. They have two 30+ ppg players in Arenas and Kittles. Then you have some solid scorers in Hart, Eddie and Artest. Artest stocks looking really good with 4 a game. They have Joel and Kenyon putting up 2.5+ bpg. Really good team. Like i said before though. They need to stay healthy. If they do then they can definitely make it to finals.
Cleveland Cavs 34-20
Cavs are currently 6th in the East and have a great duo in Allen Iverson and Yao Ming. Iverson is putting up 29.4 ppg and 3.0 spg. Great numbers for a great player. Yao Ming is putting up 20.4 ppg and 3 bpg. Very good stats. Antoine Walker is also putting up good stats with 21.5 ppg. Ed Smith is a solid point guard putting up 19 ppg and 2.5 spg. I think the Cavs need to have a better bench. They have a good starting five. If they can do that then they’d obviously be much better.
Charlotte Hornets 31-24
This team is gonna be nasty once CP3 and Bogut develops. They have some serious scorers right now. Melo is putting up 30.6 ppg, Dirk with 33.3 ppg and Larry with 22.6 ppg. For a rookie, CP3 is looking legit. At 20.7 ppg and 9.3 apg with 2.6 spg. Really good stats for a rookie. Bogut is prefect for this team as all he needs to do is protect the paint and rebound. This team has a great future ahead of it. Solid work.
Orlando Magic 28-24
Another team with three 20+ ppg. Richard is leading the team with 29.3 ppg and 2 spg. Finley is putting up 28 ppg and Damon has 24.3 ppg. They have solid bigs but no ones really stands out to me. Dampier is nice and Swift is cool. Mbenga is a solid shot blocker. They should try to get 1 or 2 better big(s). Solid team though.
