Posey would’ve been perfect in an outside offense than Wallace

Coulda had posey for 1 first posey is another player not worth his contract. solid 5th starter 6th man guy that you ideally pay 6-8 mil Posey in his prime (also had a + 15) would never get 6-8 a year loll.

Wallace 3.5/1 stocks. Sucks at everything else. Getting slammed on that contract. Interesting.

We can argue about Wallace's contract being justified or not, but it is super clear that GM's greatly underappreciate these "glue" type wing players who can provide 2+ Stock/TO's and are + Rebounders at the 3.

Don't necessarily disagree. For me though, there are two factors. 1 is that GWall isn't really a good fit, especially on a team where they are already starting Ben and need some real scorers. They are also paying 66.7 for their SL and its not rounded well. 2 is that they overpaid when the market didn't call for it.

managing salary is quite difficult with the HC, spending a max slot on somebody doing what GWall does is a waste, when you can go get a shot funnel that actually shoots from outside. What makes Artest so good for the Celtics is that he costs 5 million, covering a starting spot, funneling shots to Arenas/Kittles, and leaving plenty of salary space. A max makes somebody like GWall neutral at best.

i like gwall and like the fit for okc. a non-volume SF is a great way to funnel volume to nash, ray, and mash. just no doubt the value is way off here

For all intents and purposes of this argument I view the Thunder as a 40-45 win team so I am not saying they are supreme in any way shape are form. However I see 4 capable scorers on the roster. Outside offense you can run Allen and Nash and hopefully get 2 20+ PPG scorers. LMA projects to be a good scorer as well. Run Mashburn or GWall off the bench in some capacity while the other one starts. I am not sure how Ben's standing has any relevance on GWall.

GWall is overpaid but Allen and Mashburn arguably are underpaid for their skill level helping balance GWall's contract out a bit.
