1. The draft has come and gone. DMC was an auto the Suns at #1. Should they have kept him, or fought for PG like they did?
habes : They definitely should have kept DMC. PG is a scoring wing with mediocre handling who’s not going to have elite defensive stats or rebounding. DMC is flawed too but that type of wing isn’t something to prioritize. If DMC’s blocks fill in this won’t be close.
Ding Dong Boys : DMC looks like a great choice and probably should have kept him. But PG looks very nice ratings wise as well. We will have to see how they both sim in their rookie seasons. I think I'd rather have the big and taken a chance on him. I know the Suns have a lot of young bigs and probably need the scoring from PG so it does make sense with his team.
nybombers3 : I think PG was top pick so I get it. Didn't really get it from Lums perspective. What did he even get for the switch?
2. Outside of the lottery, which were your favorite picks?
habes : It was an awful class and I don’t see anything worth commenting on outside of the lottery right now. Sucks having vanilla classes that barely add to the league and don’t make things more interesting outside of a handful of stars.
Ding Dong Boys : Hard to say because I don't really think anyone exploded tbh. DC looks interesting in my respects if I can pump his ass up. Would have liked to given him the +15 but Granger had other plans. I don't really know. Hard to say and i don't see too much hype around the league for any non-lotto picks.
nybombers3 : Idk. I like Udoh and Shaved a lot so I guess them. I think a g league Udoh would be really nice but such is life.
3. We received another +15 after many thought the end of the potential boosts was here due to the explosion of Carmelo Anthony. Now, it appears, we might have players rival Melo in a few years in terms of shear dominance. What are your thoughts about the +15? Should there have been guidelines, limiting teams ability to use it on certain players, such as vets?
habes : I’d prefer different rewards for sure. Maybe if the +15 were limited to non-lotto guys or guys with at least four years in the league. And I wouldn’t let guys get it twice.
Ding Dong Boys : I don't mind some guidelines with it but I find it all fun and enjoyable. Inflation doesn't bother me. I think we need to keep things on some sort of competitive balance. Melo is a beast but I think with this +15 some guys may be able to challenge him. I wouldn't mind a rule where something like the player can't be on a rookie deal and needs to be between the ages ofr 25-32? Idk coming up with things off the top of my head. Make it interesting similar to the G-League which is a nice addition.
nybombers3 : I do think a limit would be nice but I'm sure Spencer doesn't want the additional work of trying to make sure players fit. Ideally though would be better off for role guys then already star players. Not sure how you do that though.

habes : Did Steph get it? If so, him. He came in way too good and this should get him up to 40 PPG with <2 turnovers per game.

5. There’s been some shady deals lately, guys dealing for picks off the roster pages. What do you think the holdup is with not allowing teams to trade picks off the roster page? Personally, I think allowing 2 picks off the roster page to be dealt will add value to the league in terms of activity.
habes : Yeah I like adding the ability to trade up to five years out. I think the holdup is it increases the risk of disaster GMing that screws over the next guy once you get CY’d. But we’re not seeing CY turnover much at all these days, and I think it would be great for the trade market if guys could deal more picks.
Ding Dong Boys : I hear you in terms of adding activity. I think that could definitely be a benefit. I don't like going beyond what is shown though. It can get crazy and messy imo. I think to keep things simple for the league and especially Spencer we shouldn't be allowed to go to far in advance. We had that a long time ago and it got out of hand. Teams would become fucked.
nybombers3 : With the increasing cy years sure, let's allow more picks. Maybe 1 year though. Don't want another Pistons situation.
6. Summer is almost over. Crazy. What fun things did you guys do this summer?
habes : Took a few beach trips and just got back from two weeks in Michigan. Going to the beach with family from Aug 26-29 and then to LA in September so looking forward to both. Beyond that a lot of tennis and a lot of hanging out in the pool with my kids. Good summer. I want to plan bigger vacations but the kids are pretty young still so gonna wait a few years on that.
Ding Dong Boys : So sad...always flys by. Can't believe it. I went to Europe, Sicily and Greece specially with my friends. Went to some cool events for work. Some ballgames. Hit the beach and pool up. Softball. Classy and casual summer. Need to get out on the golf course more. Did it only a few times.

7. Football season is quickly approaching. I have the third pick in a 12 team PPR league. It looks like Lamb is going 1. CMC or Tyreek #2. A lot of concern with CMCs injury… with that said, who should I take at 3? I have Puka as a late round keeper btw.

habes : I haven’t done any prep yet b/c I mainly play DFS. Not really interested in spending a first on Bijan. I probably will avoid Diggs too. For steals, I like Jameson Williams but sounds like he’s on the radar and he might be third or fourth option in Detroit. Also like the Chargers WR other than Quentin late in the draft. Great QB, huge volume void to fill. Feels like there’s a 70 catch, 1100 yard guy in there.
