Cleveland Cavs 39-13
Top team in the division goes to Cleveland. They are being led by what probably is the best scorer in league history; Carmelo Anthony. As a team they put up a whooping 122 ppg and allow 110.3 ppg. Very good. As noted before they are being led by Carmelo but they have other nice players too. Marvin Williams is playing great and has a very good contract. He is putting up 22.5 ppg. Ed Smith is solid too with 20.5 ppg and 2.1 spg. They have some really good bigs like Duncan, Turiaf, Splitter and McGee. This team has a championship in their eyes and i think they can do it. Very good team.
Chicago Bulls 37-22
Second in the division is the Chicago Bulls. They, like the Cavs, are putting up big time scoring as a team with 122.6 ppg. They have a great core of guys and they are all young to youngish. Leading the way is Ariza with 25.7 ppg. Then you have Bargs and Telfair putting up 20+ ppg. Bargs is giving the team 2.2 bpg and Telfair is giving the team 2.2 spg. Batum and Deng looks like very solid small forwards that can slide to power forward if need be. Amir and Horford are very good bigs. Very good team. Should do good once playoffs come along.
Toronto Raptors 35-21
Raptors are currently third in the division. They have been experimenting with different lineups most of the season. Leading the way is Jamal Crawford who is giving them 34.6 ppg. One of the top scorer in the league. Brandon Roy is also helping out with 26.9 ppg. Ersan is the do it all player who gives them solid scoring, defence and rebounding at the small forward position. Jared is a solid big giving the Raptors good rebounding and defence. Solomon is one of the top shot blockers in the league. After that is a bunch of unknowns. Good team. How far can they go in the playoffs though?
Indiana Pacers 28-21
Currently forth in the division. I really like their bigs. You got Marc Gasol putting up 2.7 bpg and 20.1 ppg with 10.8 rpg. Then you have Emeka putting up 3.4 bpg and 10.5 rpg. Lastly, LaMarcus is a great scoring big with 20 ppg. Old man Billups is still around and kicking with 20.8 ppg and 1.5 spg. Tony Allen is one of my favourite defenders in the league. He is giving Pacers 2.5 spg and 2.4 bpg. Elite defence. DeMar looks like he will be a very good scorer in the league someday but his defence needs lots of work. Thats about it for the Pacers though. Cool team.
Detroit Pistons 28-21
Pistons are currently fifth in the division. They have a good team. Francis is giving them 31.5 ppg which is very good. He is also giving them 3.1 spg. Larry Hughes is a great player on a great contract. He is putting up 22 ppg and 1.8 spg. Deron and Rip are very solid guards putting up good stats. Mike Sweetney is a nice double double machine. Oden is also a very good big. Solid team. Can they make it far in playoffs? We will see.
Charlotte Hornets 19-37
Sxith in the division and rebuilding. Very good start to their rebuild. Harden looks like he will be a top scorer in the league very soon. He is putting up 23.7 ppg but the percentages arent all that. Ibaka looks very good so far in this league. He is giving Hornets 2.5 bpg. Sanders and Udoh should be very nice bigs very soon. Kittles will probably retire after this season. Pat Bev and Avery look like very solid guards. Very good rebuild so far for the Hornets.
Atlanta Hawks 21-40
Being led by Joe Johnson but thats about it. Joe is giving them 33.2 ppg. I think its time to move on from him and start a rebuild. They have all their picks. Sofo hasn’t panned out and has a big contract. Brandon Jennings looks okay but I don’t think he will be all that. Not much to talk about with this team. Like i said before. I think its time for a rebuild.
Milwaukee Bucks 19-40
Last in the division is the Bucks. Looks like it is rebuilding time in Milwaukee. Westbrook looks like he can be an elite player soon. They have okay prospects so far. Aminu looks like a very solid prospect. Same with Julian. They will have some picks and what looks to be a lot of cap room come this off season. I do like McGuire though. Hopefully the Bucks can bring him back. Hayes is proper. Good defence and rebounding. Travis is a FA. Hopefully they can bring him back too. Ray looks like this will be his last year in the league. Good start to the rebuild for Bucks.
