1. How did resignings go for your squad?
habes : Terribly. The guys I wanted to re-sign didn't, and the guys I thought I could get back or replace in FA asked for too much. But this gives me the chance to participate in a fun FA, so it's not all bad.
Braz - Just fine actually. Reeves signed to a cheaper deal then I would have offered and I’ll give it to him and camp him out. On the other hand Camby asked for a max I wouldn’t want to give and a lot of good players tested so that makes me feel good.
Ding Dong Boys - I didn't have anyone I wanted to re-sign per se so that was good. I have birds on some guys so I could bring some back and get some 1 year deals going. But I will have a lot of cap space.
2. Which team should be happy after resignings? Who should be upset?
habes : I had to have had the most at stake since I have like four second rounders on my roster in addition to Smits and Fox. I'm sure others got screwed too but I matter the most. Who should be happy? Mutombo re-signed, right? Nice for Spurs.
Braz - Bulls and Hawks should be very upset. Play will need to max his guys or just rebuild. At least he has picks. Chipper had a strong team and doesn’t have his 00. Boy do I regret moving that, oh well. As for happy I saw that mutumbo resigned but he’s losing Jim. Maybe break is happiest since Eddie and Finley come back. No actually Broph traded for two guys who resigned cheap and the guys he gave away walked… sorry DBW
Ding Dong Boys - Pacers probably happy with Mcdyess and dampier returning. Cavs with SAR returning. Bucks with Kidd returning. Hawks going to take some hits. They have a couple guys who hit FA so it will be tough to bring them both back.
3. What position are you looking for this FA?
habes : Pretty much everything other than SF, although I'd be bummed if I had to switch PGs. Would love to get a shotblocker--definitely my biggest priority.
Braz - Talent, all of it. Really just don’t need a pg but I’d still max Marbury. Best player we could get is LJ or Ben Wallace right now.
Ding Dong Boys - I'm looking for everything. Everything and anything! I want to steal a guy or two. I should have room for two MAXs. I need some bigs. Need a PG. Could use a wing as well.
4. Typically, what is your strategy when you go into FA?
habes : I almost never sent a lot of FA offers last version since cap/flexibility was so valuable. That strategy is out the window right now obv. There are a ton of studs available, and also a lot of really promising, undercamped players to be had. Gonna go wild.
Braz - max everyone in a year like this. It’s like throwing darts hoping one sticks. For other years I try to target a few off chance max guys but also some mid targets who make impact.
Ding Dong Boys -Go after the big names. Go after younger guys with intriguing potential. Overpay for some hidden gems and maybe it works out. Just try to get the best player I possibly can. It's really random.
5. I’m going to give you 5 names, each of different positions. Tell me where they send up and what their contract ends up being (approximately).
Ben Wallace - Max, hopefully in Charlotte, but likely back with the Nets.
Shawn Kemp - Max. Not sure he’s worth it, but I expect chipper to offer it.
Larry Johnson - Another max. Worth it. That rebounding at SF is elite. Probably back to Grizz.
Allan Houston - Max. All these guys are max players. Houston back to the Bucks.
Stephon Marbury - Max. This is the guy I want. Please bring him to me. Make me fbb happy.

Shawn Kemp-I'm gonna say Marty offers him a six year max and he takes it.
Larry Johnson-full six year max in Dallas? Imagine?
Allan Houston-seven year max, stays in Milwaukee
Stephon Marbury-seven year max, stays wherever he is.
Way too many teams have cap to think these guys take anything less than a max.

6. Obviously, FA can change things but which teams are you most concerned about moving forward?
habes : There's no CY, so no one, but obviously the Jazz have an uphill battle with a bad roster, an aging Barkley, and no first this year or in 01. Lums needs a PG and a third big badly. There are some other teams that need to rebuild, but that's no big deal.
Braz - myself and sargo have been not so good and don’t have a Kobe/ AI / Duncan level superstar. I’d say he’s better off than I am but we gotta win next year to live up to our names. Lums needs help as well.
Ding Dong Boys -Concerned like they're going to be nasty? There are a lot of really nice teams. I don't know, who is building this scary young force right now? We might be a season away before things start to materialize. Raptors could be that team with two dominant bigs in the front court. Lakers need some more star power to go alongside Kobe. I might make things interesting with a great pick in the upcoming draft but I would need another year of tanking.
7. Looking at the draft, who are your top 5 selections?
habes : I know there are a bunch of solid names but I hadn't looked closely before this question. Draft is way worse than I thought it was, though I'm sure these guys all have high potential. Love that though. The file is so good right now. Top five I'd say are 1) AK (I'd make him a PF); 2) Manu; 3) Baron; 4) Marion; 5) Rip. Dropoff after 3 is massive as far as I can tell.
Braz - Need and Talent based likely but unsure on 2-6. Brand, AK, Baron, Artest, Manu, Marion. Really all so close
Ding Dong Boys - Manu, Brand, AK, Artest/Marion, Baron in no particular order just yet
8. There was some grumbling about Shaq’s FT shooting and turnovers lowering his value. A few seasons in, where do you rank him as far as the best players currently?
habes : You can win with Shaq and he's amazing outside of his FT%, but the difference between the Kings and the second to worst shooting team is bigger than the gap between that team and the #1 team, and he's going to have a true shooting percentage that's like 10+ points off the most efficient scorers in the league. I'd probably have him around 8-10?
Braz - his ft suck but look at the overall volume and contributions. If he he’s responsible for 1/3 of the offense also fine with the TOs. He’s got some camps left but won’t improve either
Ding Dong Boys -Shaq is nasty. He's on a bad squad. He's a top 3 player. The Kings won 39 games with just Shaq lmao. That team is god awful. The next highest rebounder on the squad has B- rating. What's going on here? Maybe I missed something. Strange. Shaq is nasty! I want him!
