Drafted in the 1st round of the creation draft, MJ was the first "veteran" taken. The Spurs were able to place a solid team around MJ which allowed him to win a ring in the first season. While his regular season stats were good, MJ stepped it up in the playoffs, playing both side of the court well. He averaged 34.5 ppg while adding 2.3 spg. In fact, his first two seasons he led the playoffs in scoring (34.5 and 30 ppg respectively). His third season saw a decline as he only was able to average 27.8 ppg. During the 98-99 season, he alongside Deke was traded to the Pacers. MJ had some injury issues during the season and while his stats were pretty high level, clearly MJ was missing a step. He was voted into the All-Star game but was missing from any All-League teams. After being eliminated in the 2nd round, it appears that MJ's career is done as some might call a shocking move.
