Braves have a dire need for a starter- he's only 25 so the long-term contract is something Braves would be comfortable with compared to the other available starters and their ages. Braves have a great winning culture right now- any player would be happy to play on this team. The one thing we DON'T have going for us is a lack of success with Japanese players- Kenshin Kawakami is basically the only Japanese player we've ever had and he failed hard. Braves lowball minority players. they have no chance at him if you're talking about their extensions- players take less money to play where they love the environment and the culture. Albies needs to fire his agent tho- that extension was absolutely criminal. Acuna's is low too, in hindsight, but considering he signed it after his rookie season, it works well. |

If they could get one more big-time pitcher locked up, they'll be set (ideally they'll extend Fried but after his injury issues and his known want to go back to Southern California, I think he's gone after next season). |

If you want a fun follow- Albies is a great follow because he loves posting pictures of his animals. Especially his fish. For a millionaire athlete- it's rather endearing. |

A **LOT** of Braves fans, including myself, think the Braves need to renegotiate Acuna's deal to tack on more years at the end but give him more money now. If he's not a Brave for life, we've messed up. |

braves lowball everyone its called business Riley? Olson? Strider too but he's a wildcard as a pitcher with his arm. The Strider one, if he plays like he's been playing, is a steal. But it's a lot more risky of an extension than Riley and Olson because of positions. |
