In the past I think it was like
-Non lotto picks only (unless specified in draft notes)
- must stay full rookie year on IR
- +3 skill attribute +3 physical attribute +5 pot
But we can find what works for us

1 of the G league guys every year gets a bump to 100 potential.
Lots of end of round 1 guys are raw AF. So lets say 15 guys go into the G league. 1 of those guys get a bump to 100?

no I think the pot boost is warranted. Hawks IRL have seemingly raised the ceilings of some of their guys in recent years by giving them consistent minutes in the G-League their rookie seasons and it's worked out. Worked out REALLY well for Jalen Johnson in particular.

I was thinking.... 1 of the G league guys every year gets a bump to 100 potential. Lots of end of round 1 guys are raw AF. So lets say 15 guys go into the G league. 1 of those guys get a bump to 100? would you announce who got it using like a randomizer? or would it be just one we had to figure out ourselves? |

But Id need enough players in every year.
Maybe no one can send more then 1 player, but we include 2nd round "lotto" picks. so essentially picks 14-42?

Id rather we have incentive to play the rookies. Basically drafting players to be benched is meh. Also awkward cause it probably makes pick 14 better than 13

the further up you go, the better the shot at #1, which balances, but post lotto, 9 is worse

and you run into the problem of, how do we balance tanking rules and gleague. most players late arent a big issue if they dont play, but what if a guy has a great first TC anyway and would fit the rotation

yeah, I still prefer just letting us shift the cut a year off first rounders to 2 years later. it probably slightly increases the work, but all it really does if shift that decision to two years later, and is realistic.

means you can cut bait on bad late firsts after seeing two years, a year early, but still get them to where you have bird rights going to FA for signing salaries.

honestly, one of the bigger issues with many of the late round guys is, you dont really want to camp them til you know if they are decent. a lot of guys could probably be solid if they got camped early but since you dont know, you dont wanna waste a camp on em, so they suck. Maybe thats the problem we solve.

yeah Im a hard no on giving 100 potential to a random gleague, that just makes playoff teams have a shot at a high lotto pick essentially
