1. Chris Paul PG 6'0'' 175 20 B- B- B+ B- C A
Notes: Elite quickness. Good jumpshot, steals and jumping. Solid inside scoring, handles and passing.
- Clear cut #1 on the board is CP3. He will definitely be the top choice regardless of team that lands this spot. I believe he will be the best PG in the league by the time his rookie contract is up if not before.
2. Andrew Bogut C 7'0'' 260 21 B- D+ C+ B+ C+ A
Good strength and blocks. Solid post defense. Mediocre offensive and defensive rebounding and inside scoring.
- The 2nd pick could go many different ways, but I think Bogut is the 2nd best player in the draft. Good blocks to start with is always a plus in BBS leagues. This doesn’t mean he will be picked 2nd just depends on the team and the need.
3. Danny Granger SF 6'9'' 222 22 B B C B C+ B
Good jumpshot. Solid inside scoring, strength and jumping.
- Danny Granger is probably the most BBS league ready player in this draft. I don’t think he has the potential to grow into a better player then CP3. If Spencer allowed the pot boost to be saved I could see him becoming an All-Time great.
4. Deron Williams PG 6'3'' 200 21 C+ B- B C C- A
Good quickness. Solid jumpshot, handling and strength. Mediocre inside scoring and 3 point shot.
- DWill looks like a great player coming in. Solid handles makes him better then I anticipated. I do think he may end up becoming the 2nd best player from this draft, but his trajectory depends on TC’s where the others have a higher floor that are above him.
5. Monta Ellis SG 6'3'' 185 20 B C C+ C C A
Good quickness and jumoping. Solid steals, inside scoring and jumpshot.
- Monta a former Warrior and this notes get him the 6th spot in my big board. Love that he has C rebounding means he can start at SG and isn’t a liability on the boards. Solid steals means he doesn’t have great perimeter defense, but all we care about is stocks in BBS.
6. Andrew Bynum C 7'0'' 285 18 C+ D+ D+ C+ C+ A
Solid strength. Mediocre inside scoring, jumpshot, blocks and defensive rebounding.
- Bynum I think is truly a boom or bust prospect from this draft. His base is solid, will need camps early, and is young with probably the highest potential from this draft. Is he worth the risk or not? I think at 6 he is worth the risk.
7. Marvin Williams SF 6'8'' 237 19 B- C+ C- B C A
Good strength. Solid jumpshot, handling and jumping. Mediocre inside scoring and 3 point shot.
- Marvin Williams looks like he may be a great player. Notes are pretty good and he is only 19. I think some team will take a chance on him because of his age and potential, but be aware you will need to camp early.
8. Lou Williams SG 6'1'' 175 19 C+ B C+ C C- B
Elite quickness. Good jumpshot. Solid inside scoring and handling.
- If he was made a PG iI would have this guy a little higher. You can move him there, but you will take the handles hit and that may hurt him too much. Even if you don’t move him he will be an elite backup 1-2 that’s why he is 8th.
9. Charlie Villanueva SF 6'11'' 232 21 B C+ D C C+ B
Solid inside scoring, jumpshot and strength. Poor 3 point shot.
- Charlie looks solid and is coming in at SF. I think this bodes well for him and his value in this draft. I could see him going higher, but I think he is the 9th best player in the draft.
10. Gerald Green SG 6'6'' 205 20 B- B- C C C A
Elite jumping. Good jumpshot. Solid quickness. Mediocre inside scoring and 3 point shot.
- Really good notes for Gerald Green. I think he will become a really good player and eventually a starter in this league. His high jumping inflates that inside rating so he may not have great volume to start.
11. Amir Johnson PF 6'9'' 240 18 C+ C- D+ B- B- B
Good strength. Solid defensive rebounding. Mediocre inside scoring and jumpshot.
- Amir is another young player in this draft they may be able to be a steal wherever he is drafted. His notes I am a fan of and if he has anywhere from solid to mediocre blocks I believe he is a lotto pick.
12. David Lee PF 6'9'' 245 22 B C C C B B
Good inside scoring, jumpshot and strength. Solid offensive rebounding and defensive rebounding.
- David Lee a really good player. Is he built for BBS as a big man IDK. He will be a very good rebounder and scorer for whatever team takes him. He may lack the stocks that are wanted at the 4 and 5 positions though which is why he is ranked 12th.
13. Nate Robinson PG 5'9'' 180 21 B- C+ C+ C D+ B
Elite jumping and quickness. Solid jumpshot, handling and steals.
- Here is where it starts coming to preference and I like Nate’s notes. Elite quickness and solid jumpshot, handling and steals are very good starting points for any guard.
14. Yaroslav Korolev SF 6'9'' 203 18 C+ C C+ C+ C A
Solid strength, jumpshot, jumping and steals. Mediocre handles and inside scoring.
- Korolev has high potential but not much else in terms of something standing out. Maybe if the team that drafts him can pour +24 into him immediately he can become something, but at 14 and GLeague incoming I think this is a good spot for a player like him.
15. Martell Webster SF 6'7'' 230 19 B- C+ C- C+ C B
Good jumping. Solid strength, jumpshot and handles.
- Yet another teenager in this draft. I think this draft might be the youngest to date and Martell has a great base for a 19 year old. I think you move him to SG and you might have a 5th starter long term.
16. Raymond Felton PG 6'1'' 205 21 C B- B- B- C- B
Good jumpshot. Solid handles and steals. Mediocre 3 point shot and passing. Strength.
- This version of Felton is the best one, before he gained all that weight. He has good jumpshot and solid handles and steals. Definitely worth a look in the mid first round.
17. Marcin Gortat C 6'11'' 240 21 C+ C- D+ B- C+ B
Good strength. Solid post defense. Mediocre inside scoring, jumpshot and blocks.
- The Polish Hammer! I think this draft has a lot of serviceable bigs and Marcin is one of those and great value being ranked 17th.
18. Chuck Hayes C 6'6'' 240 22 C- C- C- B B- B
Good handles, strength offensive rebounding and post defense. Solid steals.
- If I remember correctly Hayes was a beast last BBS. If so I have him ranked too low, but then Spencer might’ve nerfed him seeing he wants a different outcome this time around. Who knows either way a good player at 18th.
19. C.J. Miles SG 6'6'' 220 18 C+ B- C- C+ C B
Solid jumpshot, handles, steals and strength.
- I have him ranked after the bigs because I think they can make an impact faster. This guy is a project but he has the tools to be a good player in this league.
20. Hakim Warrick PF 6'9'' 219 23 B C D+ C+ C+ B
Solid jumpshpt. Mediocre inside scoring, blocks, steals and
- The 20th ranked player is Hakim Warrick. He looks like a solid player all around but isn’t really great at one thing. Could hurt him and his value in this draft, I still believe he is a top 20 player in this draft.
