Ill try to do 15-29 later as part 2 but i have work now;
1. Miami Heat- Kevin Durant
Grade: A+
Miami wins the lotto and selects Kevin Durant. This is a no brainier. Durant should become a superstar in this league. He comes in already as a very good scorer with solid defence. Congrats Miami.
2. Sacramento Kings-Mike Conley
Grade: B+
Conley should become the best point guard in the draft. He comes in as a very sound point guard. Decent outside shot, handles and defence. He will need lots of work though. He does have elite quickness though.
3. Phoenix Sun (From Houston Rockets)- Greg Oden
Grade: B+
Nice pick. I think Oden can turn into a very solid big man. He comes in as a solid inside scorer, defender and rebounder. His notes look very promising too. Good strength and solid scoring, defence and rebounding. Will definitely need camps.
4. Chicago Bulls-Al Horford
Grade: B+
Nice pick. Horford should be a very good big here. He comes in as a nice scorer and defender. He needs to work on his rebounding though. But thats easily fixable. Very solid pick.
5. Milwaukee Bucks-Joakim Noah
Grade: B+
I like Noah. Hopefully he develops his shot blocking which i think he can. I like his notes too. Good post D and strength and solid steals. Can be a very good big man.
6. San Antonio Spurs-Thad Young
Grade: B+
Very solid player. Not sure if he’ll get any better though. He is a SF but can’t really shoot. He is 19 years old though. Lets see how he progresses. Has decent notes. Good inside scoring and steals.
7. New York Knicks-Brandan Wright
Grade: B
Solid big man. Not sure if he’ll be anything more than what he is now and what his potential looks like. Looks like he will be a solid off the bench type of big man. He does have solid inside scoring and strength though.
8.Minnesota Timberwolves- Jeff Green
Grade: B+
I like this pick for Twolves. If he can develop his rebounding then Jeff can be a very solid player. He looks to be a solid all around scorer with good defence. Notes say he has solid jumpshot, post D and strength.
9. Detroit Pistons- Yi Jianlian
Grade: B
Okay pick here. I dont think he will be all that but he does have A potential. More of a jack of all trades type of big man. I can see why you would be intrigued with him though. Will need a alot of work though. Hopefully he blows up in TC.
10. Minnesota Timberwolves (from Wizards)-Rudy Fernandez
Grade: B
I mean, he looks okay. He was probably picked for that A potential. No defence. Should be a nice shooter though. Notes say he has good jumping and jumpshot. Should be a solid scorer for off the bench.
11. Oklahoma City Thunder - Spencer Hawes
Grade: C
Not really all that big on this pick. He doesn’t look all that good. But maybe OKC see something i dont. He is a good shooter for a big. Thats about it though. He is 19 though so thats a positive.
12. Milwaukee Bucks (from Raptors) - Dominic McGuire
Grade: B
Solid pick. I wanted him with one of my picks. Thought he would drop. Already a very good defender. Need to work on his shooting though. Don’t think he will ever be a good shooter though. Notes say good post D and Perimeter D.
13. Los Angeles Clippers-Wilson Chandler
Grade: B
Another nice defender at SF that can’t shoot. He is young though at 20 years old. Very similar notes to McGuire but Chandler has a jumpshot and good strength. Will need a lot of development done for him.
14. Sacramento Kings (from Lakers)-Al Thornton
Grade: C
Meh pick. He is 24 years old and doesn’t really have a outside shot. Not sure if he will good any more better. With some camps he can be a solid off the bench player though.
