New York Knicks 33-11
The Knicks are the top team in the Atlantic Division. As a team they are putting up 120.3 ppg and allowing 112.4 ppg. They lack shot blocking in their bigs but their steals as a team are pretty high at 9.8 spg. Leading the team in scoring is James White. White is putting up 32.9 ppg. Very good scoring for someone picked late in their draft. He is also putting up 2.4 spg which is good. Then they have Baron Davis who is putting up 24.4 ppg, 12.2 apg and 2.5 spg. Great stats for Baron. Charlie V is also nice with 22.4 ppg. They have some nice players off the bench like Gerald Green, Marco and Ramon. When it comes to their bigs though they lack shot blocking. Nonetheless they are winning so all is good. They have two bigs putting up double digit rebounding in Gortat and Murphy. Very good team the Knicks have. Hopefully they can keep up their winning ways.
Boston Celtics 32-17
Celtics are second in the division with 32 wins and 17 loses. They are putting up 114.5 ppg as a team and allowing 106.1 ppg. They have good shot blocking as a team at 9.6 bpg and 9.5 spg. They are being led by two of the best scorers in the game in Al Harringtion and Gilbert Arenas. Gilbert is giving them 31.6 ppg and 2.2 spg. Al Harrington is giving them 30.3 ppg and 8.4 rpg. After that they have Artest who is a beast defender at 2.2 spg and 1.9 bpg. They have some solid players off the bench like Ronnie Brewer, Rashad McCants and Marcelo. Tyson is their center who is putting up 11.9 rpg and 3.3 bpg. They also have Ben Wallace who is playing very good for them. Very solid team but i think they can use one more go to scorer.
Miami Heat 29-18
Third in the division is Miami Heat with 29 wins and 18 loses. As a team they put up 111.6 ppg and allow 104.9 ppg. They also put up 8.5 bpg and 8.9 spg which is decent. They have a two headed monster in Yao Ming and Shaq. Yao is putting up 29 ppg, 12.6 rpg and 2.6 bpg. Shaq is putting up 17.9 ppg, 10.7 rpg and 2.6 bpg. Very good front court. Then they have Dwyane Wade who is putting up 24.6 ppg and 12.3 apg. Afflalo is nice. Very good shooter. Same as Kyle Korver. They should probably try to upgrade the SF position. I think Afflalo is a good player at SG. Solid team. Not sure how far they can go in the playoffs though.
Philadelphia 76ers 27-17
I really like this team come playoffs time. They are currently forth in the division though. They put up 117.3 ppg and allow 111.5 ppg. They also put up 9.5 bpg and 9.1 spg. They got a good mix of scoring, shot blocking and rebounding. JR Smith leads the way with 29.6 ppg. One of the best shooters in the league. Iggy is putting up 23.7 ppg, 1.8 spg and 1 bpg. Sergio is a very good point guard putting up 19 ppg ad 10.8 apg. Bosh is one of the top bigs in the league. He is putting up 3.4 bpg and 14.3 rpg. Kenyon has been around for years and still playing solid ball. Solid Solid team. If they can find another 20+ ppg scorer they can be very deadly.
Orlando Magic 31-27
Fifth in the division is the Orlando Magic with 31 wins and 27 loses. They have some really nice players but when it comes to their bigs they could use an upgrade. Nonetheless they have Danny Granger, Micheal Redd and Tony parker. Danny is putting up 31.8 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Very good stats. His percentages are very good too. Micheal Redd is giving them 26.3 ppg. Solid solid scoring stats. Tony Parker is a very good point guard. He gives the Magic 23.7 ppg, 10.9 apg and 1.8 spg. They have some solid bench guys like Gomes, Qrich and Javaris. But they need better bigs. Once they fix that they can be much much better. Solid team though.
Washignton Wizards 23-25
Lets be honest. Wizards aren't making the playoffs. Especially in the East. They have their picks though. They have some really good players but lack scoring. They only have one player with 20+ ppg and that is Jrich. He is putting up 26.5 ppg. They have two nice bigs in Howard and Brand. Howard is putting up 3.4 bpg with 12 rpg and Brand is putting up 2.3 bpg with 14.2 rpg. Tinsley is a solid point guard. Dunleavy and Simmons are solid but that won’t cut it. I doubt they make the playoffs. I think they should probably look to rebuild after this season to be honest.
Brooklyn Nets 10-43
Lastly is the Brooklyn Nets with 10 wins and 43 loses. This team is rebuilding. They have some solid prospects in Wall, Conley and Lin. Solid start to the rebuild. Leading the team in scoring is Jeff Green. He is putting up 21 ppg. Then you have rookie point guard John Wall putting up 20.2 ppg and 9.9 apg. Solid stats for the rookie point guard. Conley hasn’t been playing which is strange. They have some solid vets in Carter, Manu, Sjax and Diop. Very good start of the rebuild for the Nets.
