Sixers accept. We had to take a real look at Antonio, and we feel as though he's underachieved here in Philadelphia. To realistically have to sign him to a long term potentially max contract is something we decided we simply didn't want to do moving forward. It could have crippling effects on our cap flexibility down the line, and we wanted to prioritize Iverson and Marbury as our max guys, with team friendly contracts around them. We feel as though the team hasn't performed as good as we anticipated and feel like taking a step back now will ultimately help us progress a couple steps forward sooner rather than later. Van Horn is a guy who's uncamped that we believe can ultimately be another scoring option for us whether he's a starter, or super sub player. We also like the opportunity of getting in this upcoming draft with the ability to potentially bring in a very nice prospect in the top 10. Who knows, maybe we get lucky with one of the other 2 picks as well. For what it's worth, Clark was a late first round selection, and we struck gold with him.

McDyess is really good- the Pacers pick is currently projected 8th and we've seen jumps from down there

Interesting deal.. need to see where that 99 lands but I like the risk.
I sort of agree with Mouse on Dyess but he's still pretty good even if he doesn't improve.

Having the #6 rebounder seems like a better fit for me than drafting a young lad I would never camp.
