1. If you could have any fictional character as your basketball coach, who would it be and why?
Nanz: Easy question. John Stamos. The guy has proven that he is an excellent coach… ever watch Big Shot on Disney +? Thought so. He is as cool as they come and just spills out confidence when he walks out on the court (I’d imagine). He is also extremely handsome which should motivate our players to know that he is our leader into battle. The man has it all! He knows the x’s and o’s and just plain and simple the face of a franchise anyone would love to have.
2. If your basketball team had a theme song, what would it be and how would your players dance to it during warm-ups?
Nanz: Oh man this is tough one. I’ll go Wild Wild West byBig Willie…. Controversial name but the this are undeniable. The song has the beat everyone loves after coming from the great one himself Stevie Wonder. IT has Sisqo on the chorus and you know that will get everyone pumping and jumping. We’re also in the west conference so that kinda of works…..? up til sundown, rolling around, see where the bad guys are to be found and make em lay down… we’re the defenders of the west… CRUSHING all pretenders in the west! DON’T MESS WITH US cause we in the…..
3. If your team mascot could talk, what do you think it would say to motivate the players during a tight game?
Nanz: ummm we don’t have a mascot but if we did I would say that mascot would put words into song and sing them to victory.
4. If you could add one ridiculous rule to the basketball simulation league, what would it be?
Nanz: oh boy these are my cup of team questions… a ridiculous rule that I would add? Ugh I don’t know? Ummmm you need to have 1 sim where you cannot start any of your starters? You have to have a 10 day period where you play all bench players! that’s fun!
5. Will Kobe Bryant retire a Laker?
Nanz: No doubt. He is never leaving… unless in FA I guess if he decides to walk but this is the one guy I am never trading and everyone knows I trade everyone in BBS.
6. If your basketball team had a team-building retreat, where would you take them, and what team-building activities would you organize to improve their skills on the court?
Nanz: Assuming I am the owner so I have the know I would take them to golf resort like Lanaii Hawaii. Play some golf and relax by the beach. I wouldn’t have them touch a basketball but just take their mind off the game and enjoy a relaxing vacation. No need to dribble a ball just go out and enjoy the sunset! Recharge! Go swim in the ocean and bring your families!
7. If you could only keep one, who would it be Kobe or Manu and why?
Nanz: Easy question come on brother! Kobe hands down. Manu is nasty as heckkkkkk but Kobe is Laker and it is a non-starter. He is the only one that is guaranteed a Laker for life.
8. If Spencer GMed where would you rank him, top 10? Bottom 10?
Nanz: I would say top 10 easy IMO? The man has seen it all and knows how FBB works. He knows ratings and combination of under the hood stats that could make a C+ C+ C+ guy a superstar. I give him the benefit of the doubt and say he would be top 10 no question.
9. Do you even watch sports anymore?
Nanz:Its tough now a days but yeah I still watch some. I watch the PGA majors when they are on…. Watch some Laker games maybe 1 a week? Maybe every 2 weeks? I watched a lot of Rams games this year maybe like 14 of them… so that’s a lot. And then I usually have the yanks on in the background and watch the 1pm games on my phone at work? And then of course playoffs and big match ups I usually turn it on and watch some. So yeah I guess I do watch a lot of sports but def not as much as I used to.
10. Whats a good time for Nanz?
Nanz: I would say a good time for Nanz is a nice golf round ideally with my pals like we did for Jimbos bachelor party or my wife… just chilling hitting some shots enjoying a nice cider riding the cart around in an empty golf course. Its gotta be an empty course tho…nothing worse than waiting for your shot and having a 6 hour round.. hate those. Catching up having a nice dinner with my pals is also a great time… always enjoy it. Or also dinner and a broadway show also hits big time. Havent done that since we left NYC but those were the best… really loved those.
